Synopsis: Gus T. Renegade will enjoy the privilege of sharing one of his all time favourite books, Toni Morrison’s The Bluest Eye. This is the first book Gus completed in one day. Gus has read this book cover-to-cover more than five times. Each time, the novel reveals something new about White Supremacy/Racism and how it warps our perception of the world and ourselves. We’ll listen to the first few chapters of the audiobook. We hope to hear thoughts from listeners on Morrison’s extraordinary work. We’ll also recognise the artists who inspired Gus to read this most important book – Talib Kweli & Yasiin Bey (the artist formerly known as Mos Def).
