Synopsis:The Context of White Supremacy hosts the seventh study session on one of the most discussed books in the world, The Autobiography of Malcolm X: As Told To Alex Haley (1965). A half-century after the assassination of El Hajj Malik Shabazz, White Terrorism remains the scourge of the planet and the most pressing concern of black people. The war against black people that Minister Malcolm devoted his life to opposing remains; the relevance of his life and work evidenced daily. Last week’s instalment detailed the energy Minister Malcolm devoted to growing the Nation Of Islam. He also described how he and Betty Shabazz married. He also outlined how the NOI functioned in relative obscurity until the documentary film, The Hate That Hate Produced. This was accompanied by C. Eric Lincoln’s book, The Black Muslims In America.
